RIVER RUNNING

Description:
This course is going to take you from the basic flow direction and get participant learning to "read" and run the river.

Goal:
Aim of the clinic is to take participants with established flatwater skills and get them paddling comfortably in the moving water. By developing knowledge of basic River features and paddling techniques participants will learn to navigate in the dynamic river environment.

Results:
Participants can expect to be educated on the differences between river and flat water paddle boarding equipment. They will feel comfortable with paddling class 1 known river runs. Also they can expect a developed understanding of river hazards and management. Taking with them new learned techniques and the application of flatwater skills to moving water, such as, eddying, ferries, running small river features and working with the current.

Ages: 16+
Pre-Requisites: Flow Basics, or equivalent River 1 course
Gear Required: Board (provided), Leash (quick releash) (provided), Paddle (provided), PFD (provided), mandatory water shoes/booty of some sort. mandatory helmet.
